Coaches

Jason Sims

Jason Sims took over as the head coach for the Royals in 2022, but he had been coaching within the program since 2019. He is a 1996 graduate of Eminence High School, where he was a four-year letterman on the varsity basketball team. Sims played collegiately for two seasons at Vincennes University under legendary coach Dan Sparks. While playing with the Trailblazers, he won the Jane Anne Whitemore Mr. Hustle Award two years in a row and played alongside future NBA All-Star Shawn Marion. Sims finished his playing career at Marian University under head coach John Grimes and was named as a captain his senior year. During his coaching tenure at Eminence, Sims was named Tri-River Conference Coach of the Year twice. Sims currently also serves as Roncalli’s assistant athletic director.

Keegan McCarthy

Keegan McCarthy started with the Royals in 2021, and he was named JV head coach in 2022. McCarthy graduated from Roncalli in 2013, where he was a manager for the boys basketball program for four seasons. After Roncalli, he studied at the University of Indianapolis and is currently a financial advisor with Primerica. He and his wife Megan R’13, were married in 2019, and they have a chocolate lab named Koda.


Jada Moran

Jada Moran began with the Roncalli Girls basketball program in 2022. She previously coached Roncalli Youth and CYO leagues at Saint Barnabas. She graduated from Roncalli in 2019 as a four-year girls basketball and softball player, and now she is currently enrolled in Indiana University’s School of Nursing. She works at Riley Children’s Hospital as a Patient Care Technician. She is very excited to work with the girls basketball program to help the girls become better basketball players and better people in Christ.


Rachel Titzer

Rachel Titzer began coaching with the Roncalli girls basketball program in 2022. She was a four-year varsity basketball player, and she graduated from RHS in 2016. Titzer was part of the Roncalli 2016 Marion County Tournament Championship, 4A Sectional Championship and the 4A Regional Championship. She went on to play basketball at Marian University, and was part of the 2017 National Championship, 3 Conference Tournament Championships, 4x Regular Season Conference Championships, and she holds a collegiate career record of 125 wins and 16 losses with the Knights. Rachel now works full-time and lives in Fishers, Indiana. She is passionate about helping the girls with their confidence, competitiveness and toughness on the court.
