2025-2026 Boys Basketball Schedules

The varsity boys got their season off to a great start with a 81-55 win over Shortridge.  Conner Kesler led the team with a career high 28 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.  Luke Feldman also starts the season with a career high 22 points.  Joey Ortman chipped in 14 points while Joe Taylor had 12  points and 13 rebounds.

The varsity boys went to Decatur Central and came back with a 70-64 win. Conner Kesler was the leading scorer with 19 points and added 10 rebounds. Luke Feldman added 17 points. Joe Taylor did his part with 14 points and 6 rebounds.

The varsity boys made it 3-0 with a 76-52 win at Perry Meridian. Luke Feldman led the team in scoring with 23. Conner Kesler added 20 and Joe Taylor chipped in 12.

Varsity boys basketball beat Bishop Chatard, 75-49. Conner Kesler leads us with 18 points. Luke Feldman and Joe Taylor each with 14.

The varsity boys went to Beech Grove and came home with a 67-61 win. Conner Kesler led the team with 26 points. Joe Taylor and Luke Feldman each added 13. Joe Taylor had 8 rebounds.

The Royals made the trip down to Jeffersonville and picked up the win 58-53. Joe Taylor led the team with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Conner Kesler with 12 and played a great defensive game. Gritty team win and heading into 26′ 6-0.

The varsity boys lost to Triton Central 52-43. Will Hegwood led the team with 10 points and 4 assists. Joe Taylor added 7 points and 6 rebounds.

The varsity boys basketball team bounced back with a 72-50 win at Park Tudor. All 5 starters scored in double figures. Conner Kesler led the team with 7 rebounds. Will Hegwood dished out 6 assists.

The varsity boys lost to Franklin Central 65-60. Joe Taylor led the Royals with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Will Hegwood added 11 points.

Varsity boys won the first round of the Marion County Tournament against Perry Meridian 72-47. The Royals were led by Will Hegwood and Luke Feldman both with 16 points. Joe Taylor chipped in with 15 points, and Conner Kesler with 13 points. Will Hegwood also led the team with 4 assists. Brayden Collins with the play of the game coming in and hitting a corner 3! The Royals are back in home action tonight against Lawrence North.

In the second round of the county tournament, the varsity boys lost to Lawrence North 59-49. Joe Taylor led all scorers with 20 points and 7 rebounds.

Varsity boys basketball traveled to Jennings County and lost 48-45. Conner Kesler leads the team with 16 points.

The JV Royals used a hot start and a dominant second half to open their season with a win, 71-29 over Shortridge. Joey Matis led all scorers with 21 points. Dane Burton had a double-double, 19 points and 12 rebounds. Jimmy Kessenich contributed with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. The JV Royals are back in action this Friday, 12/12, at Decatur Central.

The JV Royals lost a tight battle at Decatur Central, 50-47. Joey Matis and Dane Burton each scored 13, with Burton also pulling down 8 rebounds. Lincoln Tredway contributed with 5 points and 4 rebounds.

The JV Royals defeated Perry Meridian, 48-36. Dane Burton led all scorers with 13. Ryder Douglas and Jimmy Kessenich each contributed with 9 points, and Joey Matis dished out four assists. JV Royals are back in action against Bishop Chatard on Thursday, December 18.

The JV Royals dominated the 2nd half en route to a 59-42 win over north side rival, Bishop Chatard. Seven Royals scored, led by Dane Burton, Joey Matis, and Lincoln Tredway. Ryder Douglas contributed 9 points to go along with 4 steals.

The JV Royals defeated Beech Grove, 53-35. Joey Matis led all scorers with 14 points. Dane Burton and Lincoln Tredway contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively.

The JV Royals fell to the Red Devils of Jeffersonville, 46-44. Dane Burton and Joey Matis led the team in rebounding with 8 and 7, respectively. Ryder Douglas dished out 3 assists to go with 3 steals and Lincoln Tredway contributed 3 three-point field goals.

The JV Royals started off 2026 with a 52-40 win over Triton Central. Lincoln Tredway led all scorers with 18 points. Dane Burton added 10 points and 8 rebounds. Mikey Dillon also chipped in 10 points.

The JV Royals defeated Park Tudor, 58-50. Three Royals scored in double figures: Dane Burton (14), Joey Matis (13), and Lincoln Tredway (10). Ryder Douglas and Jimmy Kessenich both contributed 8 points. Xavier Waugh brought it on the defensive end

The JV Royals defeated Franklin Central, 56-49. Joey Matis led all scorers with 20 points. Ryder Douglas dished out 5 assists to go with his 7 points. Mikey Dillon contributed with 10 points.

The JV Royals defeated Pike in an overtime thriller, 57-48. In an overall great team effort, three Royals scored in double figures: Joey Matis (18), Mikey Dillon (14), and Dane Burton (13).

In a game bereft of defense, the JV Royals outscored Jennings County, 65-52. Dane Burton led all scorers with 18 points. Four other Royals also scored in double figures: Joey Matis (13), Mikey Dillon (12), Ryder Douglas (10), and Jimmy Kessenich.

The Freshman boys basketball team started off the season with a 59-15 win against Southport. Lucas Back led the team in scoring with 14 points, Mitch Asher 11, Brayson Thomas 10. Contributions from the whole team with 28 points off the bench.

The freshman boys went to Crispus Attucks and won 46-33. Vince Uberta led all scorers with 17 points, Phillip Meier 13 and Mitch Asher with 10.

The freshmen boys defeated Shortridge 54-25 on Saturday. Phillip Meier led scorers with 19, Vince Uberta had 18 and Ray Matis added 6. AJ Denney contributed with some excellent defense.

The freshmen boys defeated the Whiteland Warriors 51-40, Vince Uberta had 15 and Lucas Back and Phillip Meier each had 14.

The Royal freshmen defeated Decatur Central with excellent intensity and defense. Scoring was led by Lucas Back with 14 and Vince Uberta adding 9.

The freshman team suffered their first loss against Perry Meridian, 47-36.
Leading scorers were Nolan Merkel with 12 and Lucas Back with 9.

The freshmen boys defeated Beech Grove 41-25 with an excellent 2nd half, including shutting out the Hornets in the 3rd quarter. Scoring was led by Vince Uberta with 10, Mitch Asher 7 and AJ Denny 6.

The freshmen boys lost to Franklin Central with Vince Uberta scoring 11 and Ray Matis adding 8.

The freshmen boys won 35-25 over Indian Creek with a complete team effort in the 2nd half, especially defensively. Holding the Braves to just 7 2nd half points.

The freshmen Royals lost to Pike. The Royals were led in scoring by Ray Matis with 14.

The freshman boys defeated Bishop Chatard 38-31. Vince Uberta led all scorers with 15 points. Murphy Goss gave the team a huge lift with his energy and great hustle.

The boys freshman basketball team lost to Guerin Catholic in a defensive battle. Phillip Meier led the Royal scoring with 10 points.
