The Varsity Royals beat Shortridge 50-28 at their home opener. The Royals were led in scoring by Joe Taylor with 14 points and Drew Kegerreis with 11. Kegerreis also led the team in rebounding with 9.

Roncalli lost at Decatur Central 61-50. Drew Kegerreis led the team in scoring with 20. Luke Greene had 15. Joe Taylor led the team in rebounding with 7. The Varsity Boys are now 1-1.

The Varsity boys won at Perry Meridian, 52-32. The Royals were led in scoring by Drew Kegerreis with 22 points. Joe Taylor added 10 points and 9 rebounds. Noah Schmaltz was a stat sheet stuffer with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists.

The varsity boys went to Beech Grove and completed the SWEEP of the Hornets. The Royals assisted on 19 of their 22 made field goals and made 12 3s. Joe Taylor led the team with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Drew Kegerreis had 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists. Noah Schmaltz added 12 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds while going 4-4 from behind the three point line. The 3-1 Royals play their first conference game at Guerin on Friday night.

The varsity boys lost at Guerin 55-48. Drew Kegerreis led the team with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Joe Taylor added 13. Will Hegwood led the team with 8 assists.

The varsity boys beat Pendleton Heights 66-56 in the first game of the Batesville Holiday Tournament. Drew Kegerreis led the team with 31 points. Drew went 10-12 from the field including 7-8 from 3 and 4-4 from the FT line. Luke Greene added 14 points. Noah Schmaltz chipped in 9.
In the championship game, the Royals defeated Columbus North. Drew Kegerreis led the team with 34 points. Drew hit 8 3s in this game. Joe Taylor and Luke Greene each added 8 points. Joe Taylor also led the team with 9 rebounds.

The varsity boys lost 53-40 to Franklin Central. Joe Taylor led the team in scoring with 14 points and Luke Greene added 9. The boys begin county tournament play on Tuesday at Speedway High School.

The boys varsity basketball team won the first game of the Marion County Tournament against Speedway 63-51. Drew Kegerreis led all scorers with 33 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Joe Taylor scored 15 while also grabbing 7 boards.

Varsity boys lost to Warren Central 59-35 in the second round of the Marion County Tournament. Noah Schmaltz led the team in scoring with 11 points. Drew Kegerreis added 9 points and a team high 6 rebounds.

The varsity boys lost to New Palestine 77-60. Drew Kegerreis led the team in scoring with 18. Joe Taylor and Noah Schmaltz were both in double figures with 13 and 10. Eli Lauck and Will Hegwood each had 5 assists.

The varsity boys lost to Covenant Christian 55-51. Drew Kegerreis led the team with 27 points. Freshman, Will Hegwood chipped in with a career high 12.

The varsity boys beat Greenwood 56-40. The Royals had great balance with three in double figures. Luke Greene had 15, Noah Schmaltz had 14 and Joe Taylor rounded out the double figure scoring with 10. Senior, Drew Kegerreis, had a team high 6 assists.

The Royals traveled to Bishop Chatard and came back with a 53-43 win. The varsity boys once again had 3 in double figures. Drew Kegerreis led the team with 20 and 7 rebounds. Joe Taylor with 13 and 10 rebounds. Will Hegwood adds 12.

The varsity boys went to the west side and came home with a 55-41 win over Cardinal Ritter. Drew Kegerreis once again leads us with 19. Noah Schmaltz adds 14. Conner Kesler and Luke Greene each had 8.

The boys basketball team hosted the Southport Cardinals and lost 51-49. Drew Kegerreis had 21 points and 8 rebounds. Joe Taylor and Noah Schmaltz each had 10 points.

The Varsity boys defeated Heritage Christian 58-42. Drew Kegerreis and Joe Taylor each led the Royals on the stat sheet. Drew Kegerreis had 16 points and 7 rebounds. Joe Taylor added 16 points and 9 rebounds. Noah Schmaltz added 13 including three first half 3 pointers.

The Royals hosted Scecina Memorial and won 49-37. Drew Kegerreis led the team with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Luke Greene added 11.

The varsity boys beat Lafayette Central Catholic 54-47. Noah Schmaltz led the team in scoring with 17. Drew Kegerreis added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Joe Taylor chipped in 12. Freshman, Will Hegwood had a career high 9 assists.

The varsity boys lost to Brebeuf 67-55. Drew Kegerreis led the team with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Joe Taylor added 14 points and Noah Schmaltz with 10.

The varsity boys advanced through round 1 of sectional with a 57-46 win over Franklin Central. Luke Greene and Will Hegwood led the team in scoring with 12 points each. Noah Schmaltz added 11 and Drew Kegerreis chipped in 10 points and led the team in rebounding with 8.

The Roncalli boys basketball team beat Decatur Central on Friday night, 59-57. Drew Kegerreis led the team with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Luke Greene added 12 points and Noah Schmaltz 11.

On Saturday night the boys basketball team lost to Ben Davis. Drew Kegerreis led the team in scoring with 11. Drew is also the new school record holder for three pointers made in a season with 71. The varsity boys ended the season with a 15-10 record.

The JV Boys won 56-19 against Shortridge.  Luke Feldman hit 5 three pointers on his way to 25 points.  Luke Baker added 8 points.

The JV Royals won 42-39 against Decatur Central. Luke Feldman once again led the team with 20 points. Brayden Collins chipped in 9 points and did a great job talking and leading. The JV Royals are now 2-0.

The JV Boys won 43-40. Brayden Collins led a balanced attack with 11 points. Luke Feldman added 9. Turner Douglas and Luke Baker each chipped in 7.

The JV boys won 48-34 to make their record 4-0 thus far. Luke Feldman led the team in scoring with 14 points. Brayden Collins chipped in 10 and Turner Douglas added 9.

The JV Royals suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 52-32 to Guerin Catholic. Brayden Collins lead all scorers with 11. Luke Feldman scored 9 and Hayden Bauman took 2 charges.

The JV Royals went 1-1 in the Junior Varsity Batesville Holiday Tournament.
Royals were defeated in game 1 by Pendleton Heights, 55-41. Brayden Collins and Luke Feldman each had 12 points. Hayden Bauman chipped in 6.

The JV Royals lost to Pike 65-44, falling to 5-4 on the season. Luke Feldman led all scorers with 13. Brayden Collins added 12. Hayden Bauman contributed a number of hustle plays. Royals return to action January 17th at home versus Triton Central.

JV Royals came up short against conference foe Covenant Christian, losing 62-59. Nine Royals scored, led by Judd Selke with 13 and Eli Lauck with 10.

JV Royals lost to Greenwood 42-40. Luke Baker led the team with 12 points and Jaiden Kuria added 9.

The JV Royals lost to Bishop Chatard 64-54. Eli Lauck led the Royals with 17 points. Luke Baker and Jaiden Kuria each chipped in 8 points.

The JV Royals picked up a road win, 60-49. Luke Feldman led the team in scoring with 18 points, followed by Jaiden Kuria with 15 and Brayden Collins with 10.

All nine Royals scored in a 64-27 win over Scecina. The JV Royals were led by Luke Feldman’s 14 and Jaiden Kuria’s 13.

The freshman boys lost their season opener to Cathedral 39-31. Mikey Dillon and Joey Matis each had 9 points, while Jaxson Lawson added great hustle all night.

The freshman boys lost a close game to Crispus Attucks 38-36. Nolan Denney led the team in scoring with 10 points.

The Freshman boys beat Shortridge 42-6. Lucas Mendoza and Mitchell Mader each led the team in scoring with 7 points.

The freshman boys defeated Whiteland by a score of 39-24. The Royals were led in scoring by Mikey Dillon with 9 points and Ayden Hartman with 6 points. 9 players scored in a very balanced effort by our freshmen.

The freshman boys defeated the Falcons by a score of 48-19. Mikey Dillon led the charge with 20 points. Ayden Hartman chipped in 6 points and also took two charges.

The freshman boys beat Beech Grove 45-8. Nolan Denney led the team with 12 points. Kallen Stahley added 11.

The freshmen boys beat Indian Creek 60-31. Mikey Dillon led the team with 12 points. Nolan Denney and Ryan Merkel each had 9. The boys are going into Christmas break on a 6 game winning streak.

The boys freshman team lost to Franklin Central 39-31. Mikey Dillon and Kallen Stahley both had 8.

FRESHMAN BOYS BASKETBALL
The freshman boys played in the 9th Grade Tournament at Franklin Central. The first game they lost to Carmel 54-24. Ayden Hartman scored 6 and Kallen Stahley added 5.
In the second game, the Royals beat Perry Meridian 53-15. Jimmy Buchmeier, Garrett Robinson and Kolton Bertram all had 12 points.

The Freshman boys basketball lost a close one to Pike 42-40. Nolan Denney led the team with 10 and Mikey Dillon added 9.

The freshman Royals beat Bishop Chatard 41-28. They were led by Nolan Denney with 10 and Mikey Dillion with 9. Joey Matis also finished with 6 hitting two 3’s.

The freshmen Royals beat Covenant Christian 46-26. They were led by Nolan Denney with 10 and Joey Matis had 8.

The Royals lost to Greenwood 37-35. They were led by Joey Matis with 11 points and Mikey Dillon added 7.

The freshman Royals lost to Warren Central 46-42. The Royals were led by Nolan Denney with 13 and Mikey Dillon added 11.

The freshman boys beat Southport in the first round of the Marion County Tournament 36-22. The Royals were led in scoring by Nolan Denney with 14 and Mikey Dillon added 12.

The Royals then defeated Lutheran in the second round 55-26. Nolan Denney led the team once again with 16 and Joey Matis added 12.

The freshman boys lost to Franklin Central in the final four of the Marion County tournament 36-31. Leading scorers were Joey Matis with 8, Kallen Stahley and Nolan Denney each added 6.
