2024-2025 Boys Tennis Schedule

Boys Tennis had their home opener and came up short against Franklin Central losing 5-0. Highlight of the match was at #1 singles, Chris Stanley had a very close 3 ½ hour hard fought match.

Varsity Boys Tennis hosted Bishop Chatard and came up short with a 5-0 loss. Winning for JV at #1 singles Jack Vavra and #3 singles Quentin Gibson.

Varsity Boys Tennis earned their first win at home defeating Scecina Memorial 4-1! Winning for Varsity: #2 singles Brian Moreno, #3 singles Brody Daeger, #1 doubles team of Charlie Baker and Andrew Woodruff, and #2 doubles team of Ben Workman and Jack Vavra. Winning for JV: Hayden Bauman, Nick Woodburn, Ben Woodruff, Quentin Gibson, Tommy Baker and Sam Kritzmire.

Varsity Boys Tennis won 3-2 on the road against a talented Perry Meridian team. Varsity winners:
#1 singles was Chris Stanley (6-3, 6-2),
#3 singles Brody Daeger(6-6 ((7-4)), 6-4),
#2 doubles Hayden Bauman and Nick Woodburn (6-4, 7-5, 7-4 tiebreak)
JV winner: #2 JV singles was Sam Oncale (6-4)

Boys Varsity Tennis was defeated by Guerin Catholic 5-0.

Varsity Boys Tennis defeated Lutheran 5-0. Winning at #1 singles was Chris Stanley, at #2 singles Brian Moreno, at #3 singles Brody Daeger, at #1 doubles Charlie Baker and Andrew Woodruff, and #2 doubles Hayden Bauman and Nick Woodburn.

The Varsity Boys Tennis team lost 5-0 to the #1 team in the state, Brebeuf Jesuit. Brian Moreno at #2 singles and Brody Daeger at #3 singles both had very close matches. Everyone fought hard and played well!

The Royals defeated Southport 5-0. Winning for varsity: #1 singles was Chris Stanley (6-0, 6-0), #2 singles Brian Moreno (6-1, 6-0), Brody Daeger (6-0, 6-0), #1 doubles team of Charlie Baker and Andrew Woodruff (6-3, 6-0), #2 doubles team of Hayden Bauman and Nick Woodburn (6-3, 4-6, 10-5 tiebreak).
Winning for JV: singles was Andrew Barkley (6-2) and Sam Oncale (6-0).

The Royals lost a tough match 5-0 to a very talented Cathedral team.

BOYS TENNIS
The Royals picked up their 6th win of the season at the Greenwood invitational with exciting 3-2 wins over both Greenwood and Warren Central. They lost a close 3-2 match to Jennings County. Those winning matches included #1 singles Chris Stanley, #2 singles Brian Moreno, #3 singles Brody Daeger (won all 3 matches), #1 doubles team of Charlie Baker and Andrew Woodruff (won 2 matches) and #2 doubles team of Nick Woodburn and Hayden Bauman.

The Royals lost 3-2 to Heritage Christian on senior night. Chris Stanley and Brody Daeger won at #1 and #3 singles. Ben Workman and Andrew Barkley played strong at # 2 doubles.
Winning for JV: Sam Oncale, Ben Woodruff, Hayden Bauman and Nick Woodburn.

The Royals picked up their 7th win of the season defeating Ben Davis 4-1. Winning for Varsity: #2 singles Brian Moreno, #3 singles Brody Daeger, #1 doubles team of Charlie Baker and Andrew Woodruff, and #2 doubles team of Hayden Bauman and Nick Woodburn.
JV winners: Sam Oncale, Andrew Barkley, Ben Woodruff, Jack Vavra and Quentin Gibson.

Boys Varsity Tennis defeated Lutheran 5-0 in the first round of the Marion County Tournament. Winning for Roncalli at #1 singles was Chris Stanley, #2 singles Brian Moreno, #3 singles win (Lutheran forfeit), #1 doubles team of Charlie Baker and Andrew Woodruff, and #2 doubles team of Brody Daeger and Hayden Bauman.

The Royals advance to the 3rd round of the Marion County Tournament after defeating Speedway 5-0. Winning at #1 singles was Chris Stanley, #2 singles Brian Moreno, #3 singles Brody Daeger, #1 doubles team of Charlie Baker and Andrew Woodruff and #2 doubles team of Hayden Bauman and Nick Woodburn.

Boys Varsity Tennis defeated Southport 5-0 in the first round of Sectionals at Perry Meridian. Winning for the Royals: #1 singles Chris Stanley, #2 singles Brian Moreno, #3 singles Brody Daeger, #1 doubles team of Charlie Baker and Andrew Woodruff, and #2 doubles team of Hayden Bauman and Nick Woodburn. The Royals will take on Perry Meridian at Perry Meridian on Wednesday.

The Royals lost to Perry Meridian 3-2 in the Sectional Championship. Winning at #1 singles was Chris Stanley (6-1, 6-1) and Brody Daeger won at #3 singles (6-2, 5-7, 6-3).

Chris Stanley at #1 singles won 6-2, 6-0 vs. Decatur Central in the Regional Semi-Finals! He will take on Shelbyville in the Regional finals on 10/9 at 5pm at Center Grove.

Chris Stanley defeated Shelbyville’s #1 singles player 6-1, 6-4! Chris will play next on October 19th as he is now among top 20 players in the state.

Chris Stanley lost a tough 3 set match against Greenfield Central’s #1 singles player, but played so well! Chris finished his senior year as 19th out of 311 #1 single players in Indiana!
