2025 Baseball Schedule

The Royal’s JV Blue season opened with a 10-0 win at Heritage Christian. Andrew McHugh earned the win pitching for the Royals giving up 2 hits while striking out 5. Offensively, the Royals were led by Luke Baker and Brady Tillar who each contributed 2 hits apiece. Key hits were also added by Luke Feldman, Jake Irwin, Hayden Bauman, and Brayden Collins. Max Kriner and Ryan Merkel each added a scoreless inning in relief.

JV Blue won against Indianapolis Kings 7-1. Ryan Merkel allowed 1 hit and gave up no runs through 4 innings. Luke Roeder had a pair of RBI’s and went 2-3 on the day. Carrington Pitts closed out the game with a scoreless inning gaining 3 strike outs.

JV Blue baseball hosted Bishop Chatard. Ayden Hartman drove in 5 runs while going 4 of 5 from the plate. Both teams put up a bunch or runs as the Royals fell short 14-11.Ryan Merkel threw 4 innings of relief while Brady Tillar stole 3 bases in the loss.

JV Blue baseball was on the road vs Bishop Chatard. Led by a late inning grand slam by Carrington Pitts the Royals won 9-7. On the hill Isaac Fuhrman got the win in relief. The Royals are back in action Friday vs Center Grove at 4:30.

The JV Blue fought hard but fell short 5-1.

JV Blue swept Columbus north Saturday’s double header lead by Carrington Pitts and Andrew McHugh both getting a win a piece on the mound.

Roncalli JV Blue couldnt keep pace with the Brownsburg Bulldogs and lost 9-4. Three Royals tallied 2 hits each – Jake Irwin, Brayden Treadwell and Dominic Cromer.

JV baseball dropped their game vs Guerin 7-2.  Luke Roeder took the loss throwing 3 and ⅓ innings with 3 strikeouts.  The offense was led by Jake Irwin with 2 hits.  Off the bench, Luke Feldman tried to spark a late inning rally with a hit and scored a run.

Royals JV blue came home with the 2 game conference sweep of Brebeuf Jesuit. Game 1: offense was led by Luke Roeder going 4 for 4 with a solo HR. Hayden Bauman contributed  3 hits, 3 runs, and 2 RBI. Ryan Merkel got the win on the mound and Andrew McHugh came in to close out the game. Final score 9-5.

Game two’s offensive highlights were led by Luke Roeder once again, going 2 for 3 with 2 runs and 3 RBI. Luke Baker, Brady Tillar, and Luke Feldman all contributed 2 hits to the team.  Hayden Bauman got the win on the mound and Max Kriner came in for the save.

JV Blue fell in their final game to Lawrence North 8-5 in extra innings despite a great performance on the mound from Carrington Pitts. Brady Tillar and Ryan Merkel each had 2 hits on the day. JV Blue finished the season 8-9.

The JV Red team scored 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, however came up just short from a 4 run deficit in their 7-6 loss to Heritage Christian. Mikey Dillon started on the mound and gave up 5 runs (all unearned) on 3 hits while striking out 6. Dominic Cromer and Joey Matis also pitched well. Eli Rettig had 2 RBIs. Cromer had a double and Lucas Mendoza and Keaton Robinson also had hits.

The JV Red team took down Columbus East on Saturday with a score of 8-4. JV Red scored two runs in the second on a double from Dominic Cromer. Cromer led the team with 2 hits, also getting hits on the day were Gio Ardizzone, Kallen Stahley, and Mikey Dillon. Anthony Shives started on the mound pitching 3 innings with 4 strikeouts, Kale Appleby threw 1 inning with 3 strikeouts, and Mikey Dillion closed out the game pitching 2 innings with 4 strikeouts. JV Red had 9 stolen bases and 6 RBI’s on the day.

JV Red baseball was on the road vs Guerin Catholic. A slow start got the JV Red team behind early and they couldn’t make the comeback losing 11-7. Dominic Cromer started on the mound throwing 2 innings and collecting 4 strikeouts. Joey Matis would come in to relieve pitching 4 innings and collecting 4 strikeouts. JV Red had 5 different players with hits including Kallen Stahley, Keaton Robinson, Joey Matis, Tanner Killion, and Tommy LeBeau. The team finished with 3 RBI’s and 7 stolen bases.

JV Red baseball got the win at home vs Whiteland 5-2. They got things going in the second inning putting up 4 runs and then holding on for the win. Jack Kriner started on the mound throwing 4 innings and collecting 4 strikeouts. Anthony Shives would come in relief for the last 3 innings collecting 2 strikeouts and allowing no runs. JV Red had 5 different players with hits led by Jack Kriner, Dominic Cromer, and Keaton Robinson all with doubles. The team finished with 4 RBI’s.

JV Red baseball got the win at home vs Guerin Catholic 7-2.  The game was a back and forth battle tied at 2-2 after three innings until the Royals broke things open in the bottom of the fourth inning scoring three runs and shutting down the Golden Eagles the rest of the game. Mikey Dillon started on the mound throwing 5 innings.  Dillon finished with 5 strikeouts and only allowed 2 walks.  Kale Appleby got the save pitching two innings with 2 strikeouts and no walks. JV Red had 5 different players with hits led by Dominic Cromer and Joey Matis each with 2 hits and 2 RBI’s.  Kallen Stahley, Keaton Robinson, and Tanner Killion had one hit each.

JV Red baseball got the win at Lawrence North 3-2.  Joey Matis was superb on the mound throwing 6 innings and allowing 1 earned run.  Matis would finish the day with 8 strikeouts and no walks.  Mikey Dillon pitched the final inning earning the save with 2 strikeouts. JV Red had 5 different players Kallen Stahley, Keaton Robinson, Joey Matis, Dominic Cromer and Anthony Shives with 1 hit each.  Keaton Robinson and Jack Kriner finished with 1 RBI.

JV Red baseball lost a tough battle at Bishop Chatard 2-1.  Joey Matis had another strong day on the mound throwing 6 complete innings with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks surrendering just 1 unearned run.  Mikey Dillon pitched the final inning with 1 strikeout while giving up 1 unearned run.  JV Red had 5 different players with one hit each Kallen Stahley, Joey Matis, Dominic Cromer, Lucas Mendoza, and Mikey Dillon.  Kallen Stahley had the lone RBI on the day.

JV Red baseball lost at home to Perry Meridian 6-2.  Dominic Cromer started on the mound pitching 4 innings compiling 6 strikeouts and surrendering 5 runs.  Anthony Shives came in to pitch two innings getting 1 strikeout and while giving up 1 unearned run.  Keaton Robinson would close the game out throwing two strikeouts while giving up no runs.  Hits were hard to come by for the Royals with just 4.  Kallen Stahley, Jack Kriner, Tommy LeBeau, and Lucas Mendoza had one hit each.  Stahley and Shives had the lone RBI’s on the day.
