Boys Tennis
2024 Season Review
The boys tennis team found themselves with a young roster this year, but that didn’t stop them from having a successful season. They finished the season with double-digit wins at 11-9, more than doubling last year’s win total. The team also played four teams that were in the Top 25 all season.
Coach Lord had this to say about the season, “I would say we exceeded expectations, always playing to the best of our abilities, increasing focus and intensity as the year went on. The team improved daily. Even though the team was so young, they were very coachable, and that’s all a program can ask for. I’m proud of the boys.”
Senior Chris Stanley had another fantastic year. He got a win at number one singles against North Central, won the sectional championship and was named All-Circle City Conference. He also got MVP for the season. Other Royals taking home individual awards were freshman Brody Daeger with the Mental Attitude Award, junior Charlie Baker won the Leadership award and sophomore Brian Moreno took home the Sportsmanship Award.
