2024-2025 Boys Soccer Schedule

Varsity Boys Soccer traveled to Center Grove and the Trojans proved to be worthy of the #5 ranking in the preseason coaches poll with a 6-0 win over the Royals.

The varsity boys soccer team had a good competitive game versus Franklin Central. FC was able to capitalize on their opportunities beating the Royals 2-0.

Lost 7-2 Cole Huff scored both goals; assisted by Andrew Curry and Tanner Miller

The varsity boy soccer defeated Columbus East 4-2. The Royals went up 1-0 with a goal scored by Manny Torres, assisted by Jonny Harlow. In the 2nd half the Royals scored three unanswered goals: Sam Purdy (assist Jonny Harlow), Jonny Harlow (PK – self-earned) and Cole Huff (PK – earned by Manny Torres). Sophomore goalkeeper Eli Rettig made his varsity debut in the second half and recorded a shutout.

Varsity boys soccer traveled to Brebeuf and put up a good fight, losing 1-0. The Royals had the better possession of the ball and scoring opportunities, however conceded a goal three minutes into the second half which decided the game.

Great win for the Royals after a hard fought battle with a 1-0 (0-0 at half) win over Perry Meridian! Late in the game Manny Torres headed the ball into the net, off a free kick put into the box by Connor Reilly.

Varsity boys soccer beat University 2-0. Jonny Harlow scored 1-0 on a PK that he had earned himself. Cole Huff made it 2-0 late in the game, assisted by Manny Torres.

The varsity boys played hard, however Brownsburg relentlessly punished some of our minor mistakes. Lost 3-0.

It was a crazy back-and-forth game throughout the varsity boys soccer game against Guerin Catholic, however the Royals came up short in the end 5-4(3-3 at half). Tanner Miller scored a hat-trick (2 goals from PKs) and had one assist. Cole Huff scored the other goal, while Manny Torres and Andrew Curry each earned a PK.

3-1 Win (1-0 at half). The Royals were off to a quick start again, finding the net for the first time just 8 min into the game. Tanner Miller with the goal, Jonny Harlow giving the assist. Heritage Christian got the equalizer about midway of the second half, but the Roncalli boys showcased strong determination tonight, scoring two more unanswered. 2-1 by Tanner Miller again, assisted by Manny Torres, and Anthony Litz made it 3-1, heading in a corner kick by Cole Huff.

A great, exciting performance by the Royals on Senior Night tonight with a 3-0 win against Bishop Chatard! Cole Huff scored twice in the first half, first on a free-kick and then on a throw-in assist by Jonny Harlow. Ezekiel Judkins put the icing on the cake not long before the end of the game with an absolutely beautiful upper 90 shot from the top of the box.

5-1 loss (3-1 at half). #11 Ranked Cathedral punished some of our early mistakes relentlessly, putting us down three goals in the first 20 min. We got re-energized when Tanner Miller scored and then hit the crossbar before the half was over, but the Irish took care of business by scoring two more in the second half, despite another great shot by Tanner Miller that blasted off the post.

3-1 Loss (1-0 at half). The Royals got outmatched by Perry Meridian tonight. Jonny Harlow scored a consolation goal right at the end, off a rebound from a shot by Tanner Miller.

2-2 Tie. Surreal ending to a great performance by the Royals against Lawrence North. Down 0-1 in the first few minutes the boys kept fighting hard and clawed their way back into the game scoring two goals in the second half; Jonny Harlow scored first on a rebound off a Cole Huff shot and then Cole Huff scored on a PK earned by Connor Reilly. Heartbreak came when LN tied the game with just 5 seconds left on the clock.

1-1 Tie (1-1 at half). Down 0-1 early in the game again, Jonny Harlow netted the equalizer late in the first half, assisted by Cole Huff. Despite many scoring opportunities throughout the game the Royals were unable to find the net again.

0-4 Loss (0-1 at half). The Roncalli boys competed well for most of the game, but ultimately the Cardinals overpowered the Royals in the first round of sectionals.

The Royals competed well and held strong, however gave up 3 goals in the final 7 minutes of the game, falling to Center Grove 3-0.

JV had a very evenly matched contest against Franklin Central, ultimately falling 2-0. FC got a goal in the first half and the second one with just 12 seconds left on the clock.

0-4 Loss. Two goals against in the first 10 minutes and two more in the final 5 minutes

JV boys soccer won 3-1 over Columbus East. Moises Gazpar-Martinez opened the scoring for Roncalli, however an own goal by the Royals made it 1-1 just minutes later. Shortly before half time Luke Harlow put us back up 2-1, assisted by Ryan Merkel. Max Kriner secured the win with an early 2nd half goal.

Great win for the JV Royals over Perry Meridian 2-1(1-0 at half)! Sam Smith smashed a free kick from almost midfield into the goal in the first half. Vincent Lalrinpui made it 2-0 early on in the second half, putting in a hard header off a corner kick by Moises Gazpar-Martinez. Several minutes later the Falcons scored one, but Roncalli was able to hang on to the win!

JV boys soccer won over University 4-0. Goals scored by Yandel Rodriguez (assist Bosco Khai) and Paul Thang (assist Peter Sang), and Owen Williams (assist Luke Harlow) and Peter Sang. The shutout was shared by goalkeepers Corbin Sejas and Logan Neyenhaus.

A very competitive game for the JV Royals, however unfortunately the boys were not able to overcome an early score in the 3rd minute of the game, losing 1-0 against Brownsburg.

3-1 Win (1-0 at half). Solid win for the Royals. First half goal by Peter Sang, followed by goals in the second half from Vincent Lalrinpui and Oscar Mendoza (assist Tommy Gantner). GK Corbin Sejas got the clean sheet in the first half, Logan Neyenhaus played in goal the 2nd half.

The Royals competed hard, but were outmatched by a solid Chatard team losing 3-1. Alex Gazpar-Martinez got our only goal right before halftime.

1-1 Tie. Great comeback by the Royals as the equalizer came with just two minutes left to play in the game. Paul Thang earned a PK and converted it. Corbin Sejas was in goal for the first half and Logan Neyenhaus kept a clean sheet in the second half.

2-0 Loss. The Royals started slow and gave up two goals in the first half, but battled hard and dominated in the second half, getting close to scoring a goal on several occasions. Logan Neyenhaus earned a clean sheet in the second half.

3-1 Win (1-1 at half). Moises Gazpar-Martinez gave the Royals an early lead, scoring on a shot from distance, but by half time the Sparkplugs had managed to level the score again. The Roncalli boys came out very determined in the second half and took care of business: 2-1 Max Kriner assisted by Luke Harlow and 3-1 Grant Steuer assisted by Yandel Rodriguez. Another clean sheet for goalkeeper Logan Neyenhaus in the second half.

The Royals went up 1-0 against Lawrence Central on a goal by Marcus Schneider. Roncalli went into halftime tied 1-1 and then LC added two more goals in the second half.

The JrJV boys soccer team fought hard against Bishop Chatard, tying 1-1. The Royals goal was scored by Marcus Schneider and assisted by Amari Kollison.

Roncalli JrJV boys fell 4-2 to Bloomington South. Their first goal was scored early in the first half by Will Christie who settled the ball in the box and put the ball away off of a beautiful cross from Alan Sanchez. The final goal was scored late in the second half off of a free kick clinically put away by Marcus Schneider.

The JrJV boys soccer team fought hard against a tough opponent, Lawrence North, losing 3-0.

JJV boys fell to Center Grove 6-2. Their two goals were scored In the first half. Both goals were scored by Will Christie, the first goal was a finish off the cross from Alan Sanchez, the second was a solo goal.

Boys JrJV beat Park Tudor 3-2. The first two goals were scored by Van Cin who was assisted by Carter Bohn on both. Shortly after half time Park Tudor equalized, but Will Christie put the Royals back in the lead. He was assisted by Alan Sanchez who crossed Christie the ball.

After playing a long hard fought game in the final against Lebanon, the JrJV boys ultimately lost 3-0.

Boys JrJV beat Cathedral 3-2. In the first half, Will Christie put the royals ahead 1-0 after finishing a ball passed to him by Alan Sanchez. The second goal was scored by Van Cin who was assisted by Amari Kollison-Dubie. The Royals third and final goal was scored in the second half by Will Christie who was assisted by Marcus Schneider.
