2024-25 Season Review

The Roncalli Royals took full advantage of the inaugural IHSSA girls wrestling season! Junior Claire May (MVP, Leadership Award) was the Marion County champion, sectional champion and regional champion. Taking home the bronze at state was the perfect way to end a seemingly perfect season. Junior Olivia Lemus (Sportsmanship Award) also had a fantastic season for the Royals. She punched her ticket to state by placing 4th at regionals, was a sectional champion and placed 2nd in the Marion County Tournament. Senior Andi McHugh (Mental Attitude Award) finished 5th in the Marion County Tournament, and she had a tough draw at sectionals, coming up just short of advancing to regionals. 

These three female Royal wrestlers have set high standards for the Roncalli girls wrestling program moving forward!
