2024 Season Review
The 2024 baseball season ended with a loss in the semi-finals of the sectionals but was highlighted by winning the Circle City Conference with a 9-1 record. Overall, the Roncalli baseball team finished with a record of 17-10. Making the Circle City All-Conference team were seniors JJ Prendergast and Dylan Henry, junior Sam Roeder and sophomore Collin Ash. Prendergast was also selected to the All-District Team.
With a potent offense hitting .340 as a team and stealing 82 bases, the team was led by Roeder (.455 BA, 24 SB), juniors Johnny Jaffe (.397 BA) and Will Manship (.390 BA, 10 SB) and Ash (.367 BA, 105 SB).
On the mound, Prendergast was dominant the entire season, going 7-2 with 79 strikeouts in 58.2 innings pitched with a 1.55 ERA. Junior Luke Greene (3-1, 31.2 IP, 31 K, 3.54 ERA) and Ash (4-2, 31.2 IP, 49 K, 3.76 ERA) also contributed on the mound.

Most Valuable Player – JJ Prendergast
Coach Tony Vittorio says, “With only the loss of four valuable seniors, Charlie Baker, Parker Doughtery, Dylan Henry and JJ Prendergast, the Roncalli Royal baseball team is looking forward to getting back on the diamond for the 2025 baseball season.”
