The boys volleyball team opened their season by winning the Irish Invite at Cathedral. The Royals defeated Ben Davis, Franklin Community and Hamilton Southeastern, while falling to Cathedral. The Royals were led by the trio of Will Vannoy, Eli Berger and Xavier Lawrie who combined for 77 kills on the day. Matthew Dial led the offense with 84 assists. Aiden Hill held down the back row with 34 digs.

The Varsity Boys Volleyball team swept North Central 25-8, 25-15, 25-20. Eli Berger was dominant at the net with 14 kills and 3 blocks. Matthew Dial dished out 29 assists. Aiden Hill helped the team with 16 digs.

The Royals swept Bishop Chatard 25-21 25-22 25-14. Eli Berger contributed 8 kills and Jack Hovanec added 5 kills and 5 blocks. The Royals return home tonight vs. Covenant Christian.

The boys volleyball team earned two victories over the weekend, defeating Perry Meridian 25-21, 25-13 and Southport 28-26, 25-16. Will Vannoy was dominant in the matches, having 14 kills and 3 blocks in the two matches. Matthew Dial contributed 51 assists, while Aiden Hill and Josh Staehler combined for 32 digs.

The varsity volleyball team swept Brebeuf Jesuit 25-16 25-22 25-19. Leading the way in offense was the trio of Cal Davis, Will Vannoy and Xavier Lawrie, who combined for 25 kills. Josh Staehler controlled the defense with 14 digs.

The Varsity Royals won a close match, defeating Fishers in 5 sets. Xavier Lawrie led the team with 14 kills. Will Vannoy had 7 blocks. Josh Staehler led the team with 28 digs.

The varsity boys volleyball team won the silver bracket over the weekend. The team defeated Southport and Boone Grove in pool play, while falling to York from Illinois. In bracket play, the Royals defeated St. Xavier from Kentucky and swept Cathedral in the championship match. It was a great weekend all around for the Royals.

The Varsity Royals finished as runner ups in the Metro tournament. They fell to Cathedral in a close 5 set match. Will Vannoy had a good game with 10 kills and 3 blocks. Matthew Dial had 42 assists to go along with his 7 blocks.

The Varsity Royals got back to their winning ways, sweeping Franklin Central. The Royals were led by Eli Berger with 8 kills. Josh Staehler added 9 digs and the Royals combined for 8 blocks.

The Royals dropped another close match to Cathedral in 5. They battled until the end but came up just short. Eli Berger had 17 kills on the night. Matthew Dial assisted on 48 kills. The Royals travel to Chicago this weekend to take place in the Lincoln-Way East Invitational.

The Royals traveled North to Chicago to compete against some of Illinois’ toughest competition. The Royals were champions of the silver bracket. After falling to Belleville East, the Royals won four straight, defeating Glenbard South, St. Charles East, Brothers Rice, and local Fishers. Congratulations Matthew Dial on receiving All Tournament honors. The Royals return for their final home match Tuesday vs. Hamilton Southeastern which is also senior night.

The Varsity Royals had a 3 set win over Hamiliton Southeastern on Senior Night. Cal Davis had 5 kills on the night. Andrew Heiden added 8 kills. Josh Staehler had 7 digs.

The Varsity Royals finish off their regular season with a sweep over Perry Meridian. Will Vannoy and Jack Hovanec had a great night, combining for 9 kills and 6 blocks. Josh Staehler added 16 digs to lead the defense.

The Boys Volleyball team defeated Warren Central 3-0 to advance to the sectional championship match.

The Royals swept Covenant Christian to win the sectional title. The Royals advance to Regionals on Saturday, where they will face Floyd Central at 10am at Franklin Community.

The Royals advance to the Final Four next weekend at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The Royals swept Floyd Central to advance to the Regional Finals. The Royals then defeated Franklin Community in a tight 5 set match.

The Freshman Royals drop a close match 25-17 22-25 13-15. Nolan Hall led the way with 16 kills. Rowan Elburg added 11 kills and Ben Pierce had 27 assists.

The Freshman Royals walked away as champions on Saturday. The Royals didn’t drop a set, defeating Whiteland, Center Grove, and Mooresville.
