2025 Baseball Schedule

The Royal’s Varsity baseball team dropped a close contest to Franklin Community 4-3. Offensively, the Royals had 4 hits with Drew Nelson, Ayden Hartman, and Gio Ardizzone each contributing singles, while Collin Ash added an RBI double. On the mound, Ash started and threw 5 innings, giving up 2 earned runs, while striking out 7 Franklin batters. Daylan Powers and Luke Greene each threw a scoreless inning in relief. The Royal’s return to the diamond on Tuesday, as they travel to Lutheran for a 5:30 pm contest.

Varsity baseball defeated Lutheran by a score of 18-4. Offensively, the Royals pounded out 12 hits lead by Collin Ash’s 3 hit performance with 3 RBIs. Luke Baker added 4 RBIs with 2 hits. Other Royals with multiple hits included Gio Ardizzone and Maddux Haworth. Sam Roeder added a 3 run homerun in a big 10 run first inning. The Royals stole 12 bases during the contest with Austin Walker, Drew Nelson, Roeder, Ash, and Ardizzone having 2 steals apiece. Nico Amodeo started pitching for the Royals going 2 2/3 innings, while Jaiden Kuria threw the last 2 1/3 innings. Together the Royal’s pitchers struck out 7 hitters allowing 3 hits.

The Royal’s Varsity Baseball team defeated Greenwood 19-2. Andrew McHugh started pitching, allowing 2 hits over 4 innings. Luke Greene tossed the final inning, striking out all 3 hitters he faced. Offensively the Royals pounded out 12 hits. Gio Ardizzone had 3 hits, including a double, while driving in a run. JP Roseli added 2 hits with 3 RBIs. Sam Roeder scored 3 runs, with 2 hits, while stealing 4 bases. Luke Baker added a key double driving in 2 runs. Luke Roeder contributed with a timely pinch hit 2 run homerun. Collin Ash, Maddux Haworth, Ayden Hartman each added hits in the Royal’s offensive barrage.

Roncalli defeated Columbus North 10-5 behind the Royal’s offense that pounded out 11 hits. The Royal’s offense was led by Maddux Haworth, Luke Baker, and Drew Nelson who added 2 hits apiece. Collin Ash added 4 runs batted in after a key single and 2 sacrifice fly balls. Other Royals who added hits were Luke Greene, Gio Ardizzone, Sam Roeder, and Luke Roeder. Ash pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing 1 hit while striking out 6. Greene threw the final 3 1/3 innings, giving up 5 hits, while striking out 6.

The varsity baseball defeated Southport 14-2 at the University of Indianapolis.  The Royals offense collected 15 hits led by Drew Nelson, with 4 hits.  Collin Ash added 3 hits, including 2 doubles.  Other Royals who added multiple hits included Gio Ardizzone and Sam Roeder.  Nico Amodeo started on the mound for the Royals, throwing a complete game, striking out 9.

Varsity baseball defeated Heritage Christian 11-1.  Gio Ardizzone and Drew Nelson sparked the Royal’s offense with both hitting home runs.  The Royals had 10 hits as a team with Ardizzone, Sam Roeder, and Luke Roeder each contributing multiple hits.  Collin Ash pitched 6 innings, giving up 2 hits, 1 run, while striking out 2.  Daylan Powers threw the final inning while striking out 1, without giving up a hit.

The varsity Royal’s defeated Kokomo 4-2. Offensively, the Royals had 9 hits led by Collin Ash, who contributed 2 hits while driving in 2 runs. Luke Baker launched a solo homerun off the scoreboard to help extend the Royal’s lead. Maddux Haworth drove in the 4 Royal runs with a 2 out single. Luke Roeder added a late pinch hit double, with Rudy Schoettle, Gio Ardizzone, and Sam Roeder adding the other Royal hits offensively. Andrew McHugh earned the win on the mound, throwing 5 2/3 innings, scattering 8 hits, allowing 1 earned run, while striking out 4. Luke Greene threw the final 1 1/3 inning, striking out 3, to earn the save.

The Varsity Royals defeated Gibson Southern 4-2 at Indiana University. Jaiden Kuria threw a complete game striking out 7, allowing 2 earned runs with no walks. Offensively, the Royals were led by Rudy Schoettle and Collin Ash who each added 2 hits. Other Royals adding hits were Gio Ardizzone, Sam Roeder, and Maddux Haworth. The Royals stole 5 bases as a team.

The Varsity Royals defeated Brebeuf Jesuit 7-6 on a walk-off single by Luke Greene in the bottom of the 9th inning. Greene also earned the victory on the mound, pitching the final 4 innings, giving up 2 hits, while striking out 7. Nico Amodeo started on the mound for the Royals, throwing the first 5 innings, allowing 3 hits, while striking out 8 batters.
Offensively, the Royal’s had 10 hits led by Gio Ardizzone, Maddux Haworth, and Luke Roeder who each added 2 hits apiece. Ardizzone and Sam Roeder contributed with key doubles, while Collin Ash and Johnny Jaffe each added base hits.

The Varsity Baseball team defeated Brebeuf Jesuit 13-0. The Royal’s offense pounded out 12 hits, led by Gio Ardizzone’s 3 hit performance that included a double and 2 RBI. Collin Ash drove in 4 runs, with a triple and a sacrifice fly. Sam Roeder added 2 hits and stole 3 bases. Drew Nelson and Will Manship each added 2 hits including a double. Rudy Schoettle doubled, drove in a pair of runs, and stole 3 bases. Austin Walker added a pinch hit sacrifice fly driving in a run. Aydan Hartman delivered a pinch hit single, driving in a run. Ash threw a complete game, striking out 8, allowing 2 hits.

The Varsity Royals defeated Bishop Chatard 12-2. The Royals pounded out 12 hits including a homerun by Drew Nelson and a double by Collin Ash. Other Royals with multiple hits included Nico Amodeo (3 hits), Will Manship (2 hits), Sam Roeder (2 hits), and Ash (2 hits). Amodeo pitched a complete game going 5 innings, allowing 3 hits, with 3 strikeouts. The Royals conclude the Circle City Conference series tonight at Bishop Chatard.

Varsity baseball lost 4-3 to Bishop Chatard. Luke Roeder led the Royals with 2 hits, with Collin Ash, Sam Roeder, and Drew Nelson each adding hits. Luke Roeder and Sam Roeder each had a stolen base, while Rudy Schoettle added 4 stolen bases. On the mound, Ash threw the first 6 innings, allowing 3 hits, 5 walks, and 4 earned runs. Luke Greene threw 1/3 of an inning, and gave up 1 hit.

Roncalli dropped a close game to Center Grove by a score of 3-1 Friday night. Luke Greene threw a complete game, giving up 3 runs, 6 hits, while striking out 5. Rudy Schoettle and Maddux Haworth had doubles. Will Manship had a stolen base, and Schoettle had the lone Royal’s RBI.

Game 1:
The Royals defeated Cincinnati Christian 4-1 in the first game of the doubleheader. Daylan Powers started on the mound for the Royals, throwing 5 innings, allowing 7 hits, giving up 1 run, while striking out 3. Andrew McHugh earned the victory in relief, throwing 1 scoreless inning, and Nico Amodeo earned the save.
Offensively, the Royals had 5 hits with Luke Roeder and Will Manship contributing 2 hits each, while Rudy Schoettle added a single with a stolen base.

Game 2:
The Royals defeated the Cougars 6-0 in the night cap of the double header. Jaiden Kuria tossed a gem of a complete game, giving up 2 hits over the 7 innings while striking out 16 batters. Sam Roeder, Collin Ash, and Luke Roeder each had 2 hits. Drew Nelson added a single while Maddux Haworth added a double. Will Manship drove in 2 runs with a pain of sacrifice fly outs.

Roncalli defeated Southport 16-3. Gio Ardizzone had 3 hits, including 2 doubles, and 2 RBI. Sam Roeder scored 3 runs and ended the game with a grand slam in the 6th inning. Drew Nelson added 2 hits, including a triple and 2 RBI. Other Royals driving in runs include Collin Ash, Maddux Haworth, Luke Roeder, and Luke Baker. Ash and Andrew McHugh each contributed on the mound, throwing 3 innings apiece. McHugh didn’t allow a run, striking out 3, and only allowing 2 hits.

The Royals defeated Heritage Christian 15-5. Offensively, Roncalli hitters collected 12 hits, led by Drew Nelson’s 3 hit performance with 3 RBIs. Sam Roeder added a triple, with an RBI. Rudy Schoettle and Collin Ash each had multi-hit performances. Other Royals adding hits include Luke Greene, Johnny Jaffe, Maddux Haworth, and Will Manship. Nico Amodeo started pitching for the Royals earning the win with Luke Greene coming in relief to earn the save.

Roncalli defeated Avon 15-4, which was capped off by a 9 run, bottom of the 5th inning. Jaiden Kuria earned the win on the mound, giving up three hits, one earned run, striking out 6. Luke Greene threw the final inning, striking out 2, while giving up 1 run.
Offensively, the Royals were led by Collin Ash who drove in 4 runs, on 2 hits, including a double. Other Royals with doubles include Maddux Haworth and Will Manship. Manship drove in 3 runs, with 2 hits. Drew Nelson had 2 hits, including a homerun, while driving in 3 runs. The Royals stole 6 bases as a team with Ash (2), Schoettle (2), Manship, and Austin Walker all contributing stolen bases.

Roncalli Varsity defeated Perry Meridian 8-0 in the first round of the Marion County Baseball Tournament. Luke Greene threw a complete game shutout striking out 10, allowing 2 hits. Drew Nelson got the scoring started in the second inning by launching a 2 run homerun. Luke Baker’s 2 run homerun increased the Royal lead 2 innings later. Collin Ash, Nelson, and Baker each contributed with 2 hits.

Collin Ash pitched a complete game shutout allowing 2 hits while striking out 7. Gio Ardizzone, Sam Roeder, and Drew Nelson each tallied 2 hits apiece in the Royal’s winning effort. They each doubled, while Nelson drove in 3 runs, and Roeder drove in a pair of runs. Maddux Haworth contributed with a hit and drove in a run. Ash and Will Manship also contributed a base hit. The Royals added 4 stolen bases by Nelson, Ardizzone, Roeder, and Manship.

In the semi-final round of the Marion County Tournament, the Royals defeated Decatur Central 5-2. Jaiden Kuria delivered a strong pitching performance, throwing a complete game, giving up 4 hits, and 1 earned run. The Royals offensively had 7 hits led by a 3 hit performance by Gio Ardizzone. Maddux Haworth added 2 hits, with a RBI. Sam Roeder added a hit and a RBI. Drew Nelson’s clutch double drove in 2 runs. The Royals stole 3 bases.

The Royals defeated the Brebeuf Braves 7-5 to capture the Marion County Baseball Tournament Championship. Nico Amodeo earned the win for the Royals, throwing 6 and 2/3 innings while allowing 6 hits and striking out 4. Daylan Powers came in to record the final out and earn the save. Sam Roeder recorded 2 hits, an RBI, and 2 runs. Drew Nelson added 2 RBI. Maddux Haworth scored twice, while driving in a run. Luke Baker doubled and added an RBI. Rudy Schoettle contributed with a hit and a stolen base. Gio Ardizzone stole 3 bases, contributing to 9 stolen bases in the winning effort.

The Varsity Royal’s baseball team captured the Circle City Conference Championship by defeating Guerin Catholic 5-0. Luke Greene threw a complete game, allowing 4 hits, while striking out 7. Offensively, Roncalli scored all 5 runs in the top of the 4th inning. Luke Baker sparked the offense with a Grand Slam. Rudy Schoettle added a hit and a stolen base.

Game 1
Roncalli defeated Fairmont 11-1 in 5 innings. Collin Ash started pitching for the Royals going 5 innings, allowing 2 hits, while striking out 7. Offensively, the Royals were led by Gio Ardizzone, with 3 hits, including a double and a homerun. Ash added 3 hits, with a double. Sam Roeder contributed 3 hits, with a pair of doubles. Will Manship drove in a run with 3 hits. Johnny Jaffe’s double drove in a pair of runs. Maddux Haworth and Austin Walker added singles in the winning effort as well.

Game 2
In game 2 of the double header, the Royals defeated Fairmont 7-5. Daylan Powers picked up the win on the mound for the Royals, throwing 5 innings, allowing 7 hits and with 4 runs. Nico Amodeo earned the save in relief. Collin Ash had 3 hits, with a double and Drew Nelson added a clutch 2 run triple to help the Royals take the lead late in the game. Other Royals adding hits offensively included Luke Baker, Gio Ardizzone, Rudy Schoettle, Maddux Haworth, and Will Manship.

Varsity baseball lost to Bloomington South 4-1. Luke Greene started for the Royals on the mound and went 5 innings, striking out 6, while walking 1. Sam Roeder led the Royals offensively going 2-3 with the lone run batted in. Gio Ardizzone added a single, while Collin Ash added a double. Jaiden Kuria threw a scoreless inning in relief without giving up a hit.

In the semi-final round of sectionals, Roncalli defeated Greenwood 7-1 to advance to the Sectional Championship. Collin Ash got the start on the mound for Roncalli and threw 4 ⅓ innings, allowing 2 hits, striking out 3.  Jaiden Kuria came in relief and threw 2 ⅔ innings, allowing 3 hits, striking out 4, and allowed the only run. 

Offensively, Ash got the Royals on the board with an early run on an infield single. Gio Ardizzone drove in 3 runs in the game and had a clutch double.  Luke Baker added another big extra base hit, with a leadoff double in the top of the 6th inning. 

The Royals stole 9 bases on the day, Sam Roeder leading with 3. 

Roncalli lost to New Palestine in the sectional championship 10-3. Roncalli jumped out to the 3-0 lead starting with Sam Roeder’s double that scored Gio Ardizzone. Roncalli scored 2 more with a Rudy Schoettle sacrifice fly and an Ardizzone double. Ardizzone had 2 hits in the game. Nico Amodeo started for the Royals on the mound and went 5 1/3, allowing 6 hits, 3 earned runs, while striking out 5.

The Royals JV baseball team earned a come from behind 7-5 victory at Franklin Community by scoring 4 runs in the last inning.
The Royals started well with 3 runs in the first 2 innings. However, the Grizzly Cubs came back with 5 runs over the next 3 innings to take a 5-3 lead.
The 7th inning comeback featured a single by Ryan Merkel, a double by Kallen Stahley and a game winning 2 RBI single from Jack Kriner. Hayden Bauman pitched 4 ⅓ innings in relief to get the win. He had 5 strikeouts, gave up 3 hits and a run. The Royals were led in hitting with 2 hits each from Ryan Merkel and Dom Cromer. In addition to Jack Kriner, Cromer also had 2 RBI, while Merkel and Max Kriner each had one.

Royals JV baseball game vs Greenwood was halted in the 4th inning due to rain with the Royals holding an 8-2 lead. Gavin McGee allowed no hits with 8 strikeouts in the first 3 innings. Brayden Treadwell had a pair of hits and Jack Kriner again came through with 2 RBIs.

The Royals JV baseball team beat Ben Davis 21- 2. Joey Matis was the winning pitcher, going 4 innings while giving up 2 hits and 2 unearned runs. The Royals were led in hitting by Jack Kriner and Dominic Cromer with 2 hits each. Cromer contributed 3 RBI and Kriner 2.

The Royals JV team came from behind by scoring 5 runs in the 6th inning to defeat Heritage Christian 8-4.  Mikey Dillon was the winning pitcher after going the final 3 innings, striking out 6 and holding them hitless.  At the plate Dillon collected 3 hits,  Ryan Merkel 3 hits, and Dominic Cromer added a pair of hits and 3 RBI.  Gavin McGee started on the mound and went 4 innings while giving up 4 hits and 4 runs, 1 earned.  He also struck out 7 while walking 1.

The Royals JV team swept Brebeuf Jesuit in a doubleheader 4-0 and 12-11. In the opener, Gavin McGee was the winning pitcher, going 4 ⅓ innings while giving up one hit with 10 strikeouts. Jack Kriner had 2 hits and an RBI.
In the second game, Dane Burton pitched a complete game giving up 5 hits and 1 run while striking out 10. The Royals rapped out 12 hits with Brayden Treadway and Burton both collecting 3 hits. Leading the way with 2 RBIs each were Treadway and Gavin McGee.

The Royals split a doubleheader with Brebeuf Jesuit, winning the first game
11-2 and dropping the second game 4-1.
Mikey Dillon had 5 RBIs in game 1 to lead the Royals offense Ryan Merkel pitched a complete game striking out 6.

The visiting Royals JV baseball team defeated Chatard 7-2. Joey Matis was the starting and winning pitcher, going 4 ⅔ innings. He had 6 strikeouts while allowing 2 hits and 2 runs, one earned. Dane Burton also pitched 2 ⅓ shutout innings, giving up no hits with 3 strikeouts.
The Royals offense pounded out 11 hits led by Brayden Treadwell with 2 hits and 2 RBIs and Dominic Cromer who went 3 for 4. Jack Kriner and Hayden Bauman each contributed an RBI.

The JV team defeated Bishop Chatard 9-0. Gavin McGee went 4 ⅔ scoreless innings while giving up no hit and striking out 8. Anthony Shives went 2 ⅓ innings to finish the shutout. Offensively the Royals were led by Jack Kriner who had 2 hits and 2 RBIs.

The JV Royals defeated Columbus North 9-2 on Saturday. Hayden Bauman was the winning pitcher. He went 5 innings giving up no earned runs while striking out 4 and allowing 4 hits. The Royals had 7 stolen bases led by a pair from Ryan Merkel. Anthony Shives led the team with 2 RBIs and Jack Kriner contributed an RBI in his 9th straight game. Brayden Treadwell, Kale Appleby and Merkel all contributed sacrifice fly balls for RBIs. Joey Matis also had 2 hits on the day.

On Friday, the Royals jv team played an error free game in a 16-0 win over Perry Meridian. Ryan Merkel had 10 strikeouts while pitching the complete game. Max Kriner led the Royals with 3 RBIs and Dominic Cromer also had a pair of RBIs. Kriner, Cromer, Mikey Dillon and Kallen Stahley all had 2 hits to lead the team.

The Royals JV Blue baseball team split a doubleheader at Carmel on Saturday, winning the opener 8-4 and losing the second game 4-0.
Gavin McGee was the winning pitcher in the first game, going 5 innings with 4 strikeouts and giving up 2 runs. Hayden Bauman finished the last 2 innings for the save. The Royals had 10 hits in the game, led by Anthony Shives and Kallen Stahley with 2 hits each.
Game 2, Carmel scored a run in the first inning and were held scoreless for the next 3 innings. Anthony Shives collected 2 more hits in the nightcap, but the Royals were limited to 5 hits.

The Royals JV team rode 2 big innings to defeat Guerin Catholic 10-3. The Royals put up 4 runs in the 5th and 5 more in the 7th. Gavin McGee started on the mound and went 4 ⅔ innings holding them to 3 runs while striking out 5. Dane Burton earned the save by holding them scoreless for 2 ⅓ innings and striking out 4. Roncalli was led offensively by Anthony Shives and Hayden Bauman with 2 RBIs each. Also contributing RBIs were Jack Kriner, Kallen Stahley and Dominic Cromer. Kriner and Cromer along with Shives had 2 hits each. The Royals also stole 8 bases, with Kriner and Sean Willison taking 2 each.

The Royals JV baseball team defeated the IndyKings 15-0. Dane Burton pitched a 5 inning complete game shutout with 5 strikeouts while giving up 2 hits. Joey Matis and Jack Stafford each had 3 hits as part of the Royal’s 16 hit attack.

Roncalli’s JV team defeated Carmel 6-2. Hayden Bauman started and got the win while pitching a complete game. He had 9 strikeouts while giving up 4 hits. Dane Burton led the Royals with 2 RBIs. Jack Stafford and Kale Appleby had 2 hits apiece and Anthony Shives had an RBI scoring triple as part of the 8 Royal hits.

JV baseball won 11-3 over Whiteland. At the plate, Sean Willison had 3 hits; a single, double and a triple with 3 RBIs. Lucas Mendez contributed 2 hits and Dane Burton had 2 RBIs. Dom Cromer picked up the win with 10 Ks.

The Royals JV team defeated Center Grove 7-1. Dane Burton went 6 innings giving up 3 hits and striking out 8. Kale Appleby pitched a scoreless 7th inning.
Lincoln Tredway started off the Royals, scoring in the first inning on an RBI. The 7th inning rally by the Royals was highlighted by Lucas Mendoza’s 2 RBI single. Also contributing RBIs were Jake Gaskill and Sean Willison.

The JV baseball team lost to Lawrence North in extra inning 8-6. Sean Willison pitched 4 ⅓ innings giving up no runs, allowing only 2 hits and no runs while striking out 5. Dane Burton and Anthony Shives each had 2 hits to lead the Royals.
