2026 Season Preview

The Roncalli Royals enter the 2026 season looking to build on a historic offensive performance from last season. Last year, the Royals set a program record with 220 goals, finishing as the 3rd-highest-scoring team in the state, behind only HSE and Guerin Catholic, both of whom won state championships in their respective divisions.

This year’s squad is led by senior Brendan Marack, the recipient of the prestigious 11 Legacy Award. This honor is reserved for the player who most consistently embodies the core values of the Roncalli Lacrosse program, both on and off the field. Marack headlines a potent returning offensive unit that includes veteran playmakers senior Ethan Lentz and junior Trevor Kaufman.

The Royals boast a strong veteran presence with seniors Zane Baker and Samuel Dressman and sophomore Cooper Willis returning to provide leadership and physical play. At the faceoff X, senior Miguel Cruz Flores and junior Felipe Rodriguez are expected to take control and win crucial possessions for the team.

The program also welcomes an impactful freshman class. Trevor Welt joins the rotation in goal, while Landyn Boyd and the duo of Alexander and Charles Hazard look to make an immediate impact on the defensive end.

With a blend of record-breaking experience and hungry new talent, the Royals are poised to be a dominant force in the 1A division this spring.
